+Les élèves mesurent des objets de la classe avec la `bande unité <./unite_longueur.pdf>`_ et écrivent le résultat sur le cahier de recherche. On fait apparaitre que certains objets ne peuvent pas se mesurer exactement et on précise alors "+ quelque chose" sans insister comment faire mieux.
+
+En guise de bilan, on colle la bande unité et on indique la longueur de certain objets.
+
+Étape 2

+
+Les élèves mesurent leur avant-bras et on classe les élèves en fonction de cette longueur.
+On pose la question aux élèves: comment être plus précis? Et on essaie de faire ressortir le besoin de plier la bande unité.

+Comme trouvé dans l'étape précédent, on mesure à nouveau nos avant bras avec la bande unité pliée. Pour noter notre mesure, on introduit la notation avec les fractions.

+On peut refaire cette étape avec toutes les fractions proposées par les élèves.
